The High Council of Justice has decided to dismiss the judge of the Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa, Serhiy Cherevko.

According to the court's press service, the dismissal took place in connection with his resignation.

Cherevko began his professional career in 2003, working first as a court consultant and later as an assistant judge in the Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa. By the Decree of the President of Ukraine of January 22, 2010, he was appointed as a judge of this court. In 2015, the meeting of judges elected him as a judge-speaker of the Malynovskyi District Court.

Cherevko 's declaration for 2023 refers to a 50.6-square-meter apartment purchased by his wife, Yulia Cherevko, in October 2023. The cost of this Odesa real estate is 638 thousand hryvnias.

In addition to the apartment, the family uses a 178-square-meter house located in a village in Odesa district and owned by the judge's father, Pavlo Cherevko.

The declaration also includes a 480-square-meter land plot that the family purchased in December 2019.

In addition to real estate, the family owns two cars: A 2013 Toyota Rav-4 and a 2018 Mercedes gle350d cupe worth more than UAH 1 million. The cars are registered to the judge's relatives.

The Public Integrity Council accused Serhiy Cherevko of failing to declare his property in time and of not being able to convincingly explain how his relatives purchased the cars.

Meanwhile, the judges of the Bolhrad District Court elected a new chairman. It was Alla Kravtsova, who replaced Svetlana Kodintseva.

During the war, the newly appointed head of the court declared a house worth more than three million and a land plot in the village of Vapnyarka, Odesa region.

In September, a new chairman of the Bilyayivka District Court was elected in Odesa Oblast. It was Serhiy Dranikov. He was appointed by secret ballot to replace Olha Trushyna, who had been head of the Bilyayiv District Court since 2016.

Before that, judges of the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeal, which operates in Odesa, elected a new chairman to replace Oleksandr Dzhaburia. Stepan Domuschi became the new head.
