The Odesa municipality analyzed the results of a survey of citizens in May, which was conducted in the MISTO mobile application, on engagement in city life.

According to the results of the survey, published by the press service of the mayor's office, 25% of respondents said they were not currently involved in city life, but were interested.

Another 20% of the citizens who took part in the survey said they would like to be more active. However, only eight percent said they participate in events and initiatives. 47% of survey participants said they follow news and changes in the city. According to the municipality's analysts, the results indicate a significant potential for increasing civic engagement - one third of residents are ready to be more involved.

Odesa residents were also asked about the problems with animals that are of greatest concern to the city's citizens.

In this regard, 36% are concerned about the problem of stray dogs and cats, 26% are concerned about animal cruelty, 22% are concerned about the lack of shelters and control, and 14% are concerned about animal exploitation in the city. Two percent of respondents said they were not concerned about this issue.

The Odesa city authorities announced the launch of the MISTO digital platform, which is to become a modern tool for improving the quality of life of residents and effective community management in March 2025.

In January 2025, during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Transport and Roads, its head Petro Obukhov said that the Transpod mobile app and website would cease to operate and be replaced by a municipal system with open data that will integrate with services like Google Maps. In addition, the rules for using the electronic ticket are to be approved in the spring.

Later, during a live broadcast of Intent.Insight, Petro Obukhov , a member of the Odesa City Council, public figure and programmer, noted that the platform will not only track public transport but will also affect other aspects of city life.
