Additional payments under the Restoration Program, for which the government has allocated UAH 15 billion, are intended exclusively for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

According to Olena Shulyak, head of the parliamentary committee on the organization of state power, IDPs who are registered and those whose housing was destroyed and was the only registered property will be able to receive compensation.

According to her, funding for other categories of citizens has not yet been provided.

The funds in the amount of UAH 15 billion will be used primarily to compensate IDPs for their completely destroyed housing. Payments for damaged property are possible only if there are balances on budget accounts.

Only those IDPs who do not have any other real estate in Ukraine (except for properties in the war zone or temporarily occupied territories) are eligible for compensation.

Meanwhile, it has become known that residents of rural areas of Mykolaiv region who receive compensation for destroyed houses under the eRestoration program are increasingly leaving their villages and moving to cities or other regions. In particular, the cost of a compensation certificate for destroyed housing today ranges from 1 to 2 million hryvnias. This amount is enough to buy an apartment in a regional center or small town.

And in Odesa, members of the city council appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to regulate the issue of compensation for damaged property under the eRestoration program for residents of residential buildings with the status of cultural heritage monuments.

Prior to this, Odesa deputies adopted an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers calling for the introduction of a compensation mechanism for damaged housing for citizens who do not have title documents for real estate.

In addition, members of the Odesa City Council supported funding for the repair of buildings damaged by Russian attacks. The decision was made unanimously.
