After the annexation of Crimea, the former prosecutor of the Crimean Autonomous Republic's prosecutor's office and the former prosecutor of the Yalta prosecutor's office agreed to the illegal offer of traitor Natalia Poklonska and began to work under the laws of the aggressor country.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine, one of the defendants was appointed a senior prosecutor of the Russian prosecutor's office in Crimea, and later was appointed an assistant prosecutor of the Kyiv district. She was the prosecutor in the case of Crimean Tatar activist and political prisoner Edem Bekirov. The second ex-prosecutor was appointed deputy prosecutor of Alushta.

The State Bureau of Investigation has brought the case against these Crimean prosecutors to court. The defendants are accused of treason. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to fifteen years with confiscation of property.

Earlier, the autonomy's prosecutor's office submitted to the court an indictment against a member of the illegal armed group"Crimean self-defense", which acted on the side of the Russian armed forces during the active phase of the occupation of the peninsula.

In addition, indictments were sent to the court against the "ataman" of the NGO "Union of Cossacks of the Feodosia Region", which was part of the IAG, and the "director general" of the so-called "State Treasury Institution of the Republic of Crimea "Crimean Republican Headquarters of the People's Militia - People's Guard of the Republic of Crimea". The first one agitated the military personnel of the military unit A 2272 in Feodosia to join the side of the occupation authorities and blocked the unit's activities. The second provided assistance to the military of the aggressor country's armed forces. In addition, the "self-defense" members were directly involved in the preparation and holding of an illegal "referendum" in March 2014 on the accession of the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation.
