Prosecutors of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent to court an indictment against two women on the fact of high treason committed under martial law by a group of people by prior conspiracy.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Investigators insist that the defendants, under the supervision of an officer of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, collected information about the locations of the Armed Forces units and important infrastructure facilities in Odesa.

A 23-year-old local resident is believed to be the organizer of the agent network. According to the investigation, she involved two of her friends, who also supported the aggressor's actions, in criminal activities at the direction of her supervisor. They personally wrote and sent the curator applications for employment in one of the Russian special services.

For several months, the trio collected and sent text messages, photos, videos, and screenshots of Google Maps with the locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces units, recruitment and social support centers, hospitals, and air defense systems via messenger. The members of the network managed to inform the occupiers about at least 10 facilities.

For their work, the women received $500. They also hoped to take up senior positions in the trade department in case of occupation of Odesa region. The defendants were detained in June 2024 while collecting information about the location of a military unit. They are currently in custody at the request of the prosecution.

The third offender is already serving an 8-year prison sentence. Taking into account her cooperation with the investigation, sincere repentance, and the fact that she committed the crime while pregnant, the court sentenced her to a lighter sentence than the law provides.
