Russians launched a massive drone strike on Odesa on the night of May 1. The attack hit residential buildings and killed local residents.
According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, two people were killed and five others were injured in the attack.
He said that high-rise buildings, private houses, a supermarket, a school, and cars were damaged in the city. Fires broke out in some places. The liquidation of the aftermath of the strike continues. Tents are being set up to provide additional assistance.

Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov added that the school sustained minor damage - four windows were smashed. Three people are currently hospitalized.
In the morning, district operational headquarters will open, where residents will be able to get advice and apply for assistance.
The air alert in Odesa region lasted from 23:12 on April 30 to 00:38 on May 1. Initially, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of attack drones from the Black Sea towards Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, but later clarified that Odesa was the main target. After that, explosions began to be heard in the city.
On April 27, at night, the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Odesa region with attack drones. In Odesa district, a three-story residential building and cars were damaged. A 35-year-old local resident was injured and hospitalized.
Earlier, law enforcement officers launched an investigation into violations of the rules of war due to the Russian air attack on Odesa on the night of April 22. Civilian infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, educational institutions, and citizens' cars were damaged and destroyed. The fires were extinguished by rescuers, volunteers, a firefighting unit of the National Guard of Ukraine and a unit of the Odesa City Council.
