Mykolaiv City Council has signed an agreement with the Danish Export-Import Fund. The agreement provides for grant support for the purchase of modern equipment for the improvement of the city.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaiv City Council.

The document was signed by Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych and the fund's financial director, counselor at the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine, Kare Andreasen.

Under the grant agreement, the Danish foundation is to finance 40% of the loan amount for the purchase of five new sweepers. The loan funds were raised under the government program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9".

"Our partnership with Denmark is deepening: we are moving from material assistance to the implementation of large-scale projects aimed at the development and improvement of Mykolaiv," said the mayor.

The equipment will be handed over to the Mykolaiv Parks utility company, which is responsible for cleaning city areas, clearing snow from sidewalks, and fighting ice in winter.

According to Oleksandr Senkevych, these machines will significantly increase the level of cleanliness in our city and ensure safety for the citizens in winter.

The deputies gave their consent for Mykolaiv Parks to enter into a loan agreement under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9" back in September. The total loan amount is UAH 43 million, but it can be reduced after a public auction.

At the end of October, Mykolaiv utilities received equipment worth more than UAH 10 million. The equipment came from international partners. In particular, the city received a front-end loader and a waste shredding and sorting plant.

Mykolaiv also received equipment for utilities that will be used for a construction waste storage site. The equipment was provided by the US Government.

In September, an asphalt paver was delivered from Japan to repair city roads. In addition, the city government plans to build its own asphalt plant for more efficient road repairs and is already looking for partners to implement this project.
