Denmark has shipped to Ukraine the first equipment for the second stage of the Tiligul wind farm, which is located in Mykolaiv region. The total investment in the project is 450 million euros.

This was reported by the press service of DTEK.

Vestas is preparing to ship the first equipment for the second stage of the Tiligul wind farm, which will become the largest wind power facility in Ukraine. According to the press service, this is a historic project that is already being called the largest private investment in the Ukrainian energy sector.

The equipment was manufactured at Vestas' Danish plant in Ringkjæbing. Its transportation was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Danish Export Investment Fund. The total investment in the project amounts to EUR 450 million, of which 370 million is loan financing raised by DTEK.

Active construction of the second stage of Tiligul wind farm will start in the fall of 2025 and will last until the end of 2026. Once completed, the wind farm will be able to supply clean electricity to about 900,000 households.

In January 2025, Ukrainian company DTEK signed an agreement with Danish Vestas to build the second phase of the Tiligul wind farm in Mykolaiv region.

After the outbreak of a full-scale war, Ukraine lost most of its wind farms located on the left bank of the Kherson region, which provided a significant share of the country's wind power generation. In these circumstances, the construction of new wind farms has become critical.

The first stage of the 114 MW Tiligul wind farm was commissioned in May 2023. In the second quarter of 2024, DTEK started construction of the second stage, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

In total, DTEK will build two wind farms - 500 MW and 65 MW - on the territories of Anatoliyivka, Krasnopil and Tashyn village councils in Berezansky district, covering a total area of 35,000 hectares. The first phase will include 130 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.9-6 MW each, ranging in height from 105 to 157 meters. The second stage will consist of 17 generators.
