In Odesa, the commission inspected the technical and sanitary condition of the Chornomorskaya Gully in the area from the Old Lustdorf Road to the Chornomorka Beach.

The results were reported to the city council.

They reported that during the survey, unauthorized discharges of household wastewater from individual private households directly into the watercourse were recorded. At the same time, the mayor's office claims that no polluted water from the gully entered the sea on the beach.

Following the inspection, the relevant services of the city council were instructed to eliminate illegal wastewater discharges as soon as possible, identify the persons involved in the violations, and take measures to bring them to justice.

In addition, an additional survey of other sections of the Black Sea Gully is planned to identify and prevent similar violations.

In response to complaints from residents in Kyivskyi district of Odesa, an on-site commission conducted an inspection of unauthorized connections of private houses to the stormwater network. During the inspection on March 25, it was found that the stormwater collector passes through a densely built-up private area. Several manholes showed signs of sewage infiltration. According to the Environmental Inspectorate, the water from this collector is discharged directly into the Black Sea without treatment. Water samples were taken to determine the level of pollution.

Earlier, Intent wrote that on one of Odesa's beaches, untreated sewage is flowing directly into the water through an emergency sewer, polluting the Black Sea.

State inspectors also conducted a spot check of Odesa beaches for new cases of oil pollution. No pollution was found.
