Judge Oleksandr Boyarsky of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast was temporarily suspended from administering justice based on the decision of the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice.

This was reported by the press service of the High Council of Justice.

The decision to bring the judge to disciplinary responsibility and impose a disciplinary sanction in the form of a motion for dismissal was made by the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice on February 3.

Taking into account the decision made by the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice on February 3, judge Oleksandr Boyarsky of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast was suspended from the administration of justice.

If a body that considers cases of disciplinary liability of judges decides to impose a disciplinary sanction on a judge in the form of a motion to dismiss the judge from office, such a judge is automatically temporarily suspended from the administration of justice until the High Council of Justice decides to dismiss him or her. Judges are considered to be temporarily suspended from the administration of justice without a separate decision by the High Council of Justice.

In October 2024, the Odesa Court of Appeal revoked the permission of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Court to allow men of military age to cross the border. Earlier, this decision was made by Judge Oleksandr Boyarsky, who is currently under investigation.

During 2022-2023, one of the district courts of Odesa region issued more than a thousand permits for men of military age to cross the border. In order to avoid mobilization, the court ruled that the child should live with the father, which allowed the men to leave the country. The cost of such decisions was $1,500-3,000. According to the NABU, the judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court, Oleksandr Boyarskyi, was involved in this.

Earlier, Judge Boyarsky was detained on suspicion of extortion for similar actions and arrested with the possibility of bail.

On January 12, the High Council of Justice granted permission to keep the judge in custody.

In February, the High Council of Justice suspended Oleksandr Boyarskyi, a judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast, from administering justice in connection with criminal proceedings.
