Kherson Education Spent Over ₴23M on Energy and Repairs in Early

Since the beginning of 2025, Kherson's education department has spent tens of millions of hryvnias on heat, electricity, school repairs, and equipment maintenance. Most of the money was spent on energy supplies, technical support and emergency repairs.

Intent, with the help of the Zakupivli.pro trading platform, decided to find out what the budget funds were spent on.

The Education Department of the Kherson City Council began 2025 with active procurement to support educational institutions. More than UAH 7.9 million was allocated for the supply of heat, electricity, gas and water.

More than UAH 266 thousand was allocated for software support, and UAH 378 thousand for security alarm monitoring. To restore electricity supply to schools No. 15 and No. 55, we carried out routine repairs of cable lines for a total of over UAH 142 thousand.

In February, the city ordered regular heat supply services worth UAH 8.9 million. Routine repairs to the water supply and sewage systems at the educational complex No. 15 cost UAH 134 thousand. Another 558 thousand was spent on maintenance of boiler equipment, and almost 48 thousand was allocated for the calibration of gas meters.

In March, the cost of fire alarm maintenance doubled to UAH 850 thousand. Separately, more than 693 thousand hryvnias were planned for garbage and green waste removal.

At the end of March, the Kherson City Council's Education Department repaired the electrical network at the Perlynka kindergarten, spending UAH 153 thousand, and also allocated funds for the purchase of A-95 gasoline, almost UAH 90 thousand.

April started with new orders: over UAH 1 million was spent on centralized water supply and sewerage and UAH 1.9 million on heat supply. We also carried out routine repairs of plumbing networks in schools #45 and #46 for more than UAH 180 thousand. In addition, archival boxes and containers were purchased for UAH 24 thousand, and another UAH 30 thousand was planned for refueling and repairing office equipment.

The most expensive purchases were heat supply services for UAH 8.9 million in February and fire alarm maintenance for UAH 850,000 in March. Other significant expenditures were for centralized water supply and sewerage in April. In total, more than UAH 23.2 million was spent to support educational institutions of the Kherson community in the first months of 2025.

Also in 2024, the Department of Urban Development, Architecture and Land Resources of Kherson City Council continued to use budget funds for technical support, documentation and maintenance. The main expenditures include repair of equipment, development of land documentation, purchase of equipment, software and office supplies.

The Kherson Oblast Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service also started the year with large expenditures on major repairs of residential buildings damaged by shelling and road repairs. Since the beginning of 2025, this service has initiated public procurement totaling more than UAH 2 billion.
