In the Kherson region, mobilization and control over persons liable for military service have been intensified and a new regime of light camouflage has been introduced from 21:00 to 05:00. They also approved the procurement of shelters and equipment for the needs of the Defense Forces without using Prozorro.
This is evidenced by the order of the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
In Kherson region, a new order of the Defense Council has come into force, which provides for a number of measures to strengthen security, mobilization and protection of the civilian population.
Thus, by May 28, it is planned to clarify the credentials of persons liable for military service, intensify medical examinations and ensure that military medical commissions work around the clock.
One of the main innovations is a light camouflage regime that will be in effect from 21:00 to 05:00. During this time, street lighting will be turned off in the region, as well as lighting on building facades and advertising objects. Due to the increased risks, a new checkpoint will be set up in the village of Posad Pokrovske in the Chornobaivska community to strengthen control over the territory.
Light camouflage is a series of measures aimed at concealing light sources that can give away the location of military, strategic facilities, settlements, businesses or authorities. It is meant to protect against both air and ground reconnaissance by the enemy.
By May 9, we plan to purchase street shelters and dual-purpose structures to improve the protection of the population from possible shelling. All these purchases will be made without the use of the Prozorro electronic system, in accordance with the terms of martial law. In addition, inverter generators and computer equipment will also be purchased for the needs of the regional defense forces.
Kherson is also planning to pay a one-time assistance to the families of civilians who died as a result of Russian aggression after February 24, 2022. Funding will be provided from the regional budget as part of social protection programs.
