Kherson Region Faces ARVI Surge as Schools Shift to Distance Learning

In the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, there is an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and influenza. In the Skadovsk district, due to the large number of sick children, some schools are forced to switch to distance learning to limit the spread of infections.

This was reported by the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement.

According to the activists, the situation in medical institutions has become more complicated due to the overcrowding of hospitals with patients with injuries sustained by the Russian military. Because of this, patients with SARS are forced to stay in the corridors of hospitals.

The post says that in this way, the occupation authorities are trying to limit contact between civilians and the military by banning joint stay in the wards to "prevent conflicts and misunderstandings" as the local population is hostile to the Russian military, which leads to constant conflicts.

Deputy Head of the occupation government of Kherson region Serhiy Cherevko said that the most difficult epidemiological situation is in Henichesk and Skadovsk.

Meanwhile, the so-called "authorities" of the occupied part of Kherson region have undergone changes: Pavel Shuvalkin, a former FSB officer from Penza, Russia, has become the new first deputy of collaborator Volodymyr Sald. He is actively promoting himself in the media space and has already effectively pushed Sald out of the information field.

The idea that the occupied part of the Kherson region should be "governed" by a Russian from the special services, not a local, has long been spread among the collaborators. Shuvalkin fits this image: he is not only a former FSB officer, but also practicing martial arts, conducting master classes in hand-to-hand combat for schoolchildren, which distinguishes him from the aged and discredited Sald.
