Kherson Region Recovers 499 Hectares, Prevents ₴ 85M in Fraud

In the first quarter of 2025, almost 500 hectares of land in the Kherson region were returned to state ownership and frauds worth UAH 85 million were prevented.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on the results of the work.

They noted that court proceedings worth 110 million hryvnias were initiated, and the actual enforcement of decisions amounted to almost 85 million.

In particular, the prosecutor's office filed lawsuits worth UAH 15.5 million in the public sector, of which UAH 0.3 million has already been recovered. The Economic Court of Odesa region opened proceedings on claims for UAH 14 million to invalidate contracts concluded through anticompetitive bidding practices.

With regard to state and municipal property, claims have been filed for UAH 52.8 million, including a claim to invalidate the sale and purchase agreement for the property complex of the Heroic Salt Plant for UAH 52 million.

In addition, the prosecutor's office is actively working to recover land: 499 hectares of land have been returned under claims worth UAH 41.7 million and judgments worth UAH 84.9 million have been enforced. The prosecutor's office also succeeded in terminating easements on land in Kherson, returning plots worth UAH 2.4 million to the community.

The prosecutor's office noted that lawsuits to terminate ownership of 187 hectares of forest fund worth UAH 4.7 million are still pending, and 250 hectares of these lands have already been returned for UAH 1.4 million.

Earlier, the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office defended the interests of the state by returning land plots with a total area of almost 38 hectares to the forest fund of Kherson region.

The prosecutor's office also protected the land of theOleksandrivskyi Nature Reserve Fund from illegal use.

In addition, Kherson prosecutors defended in court the state's right to land plots of the forest fund with a total area of more than 42 hectares.
