Kherson region spent a third of its budget to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024. The total amount of support amounted to UAH 500 million.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin in an interview with Vgrosh.

"Approximately UAH 500 million has been allocated for the Armed Forces this year. This is a huge amount of money for us, because it is a third of all the money in the region. Now our budget is 5-6 times less than it was before the full-scale invasion: only 1.5 billion hryvnias," Prokudin said.

The funds were spent on requests from the Ukrainian military, including boats, drones, mortars and artillery control systems.

"No one else in Ukraine spends more in terms of percentage, not a single region. These funds are spent on everything from artillery guidance systems to drones, control systems, mortars, which we purchase ourselves. We do all this at the expense of regional and local budgets," he emphasized.

The head of the region also added that the regional administration has become experts in many areas of military support.

"Whatever task the military gives us, we fulfill. These include cars, boats, and any electronic means of deterrence, suppression, and so on," Prokudin said.

Earlier, Intent wrote that a sociological survey showed a low level of trust in the military administrations of Kherson and Kherson region.

In addition, the journalists found out the salaries of the heads of Kherson regional and city military administrations for November. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, received UAH 169,259. His salary amounted to just over 103 thousand hryvnias, the rest was bonuses and surcharges.
