An entrepreneur from Kherson region who provided winery premises to accommodate Russian military was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The post says that, with the support of the public prosecution of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found the Kherson resident guilty of aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the entrepreneur voluntarily cooperated with the enemy. She provided the premises of her winery in the Novokakhovka community to accommodate the occupation forces and their equipment. Having established ties with the occupiers, the convict handed over the territory of the enterprise, a hotel and production facilities to accommodate the headquarters of the occupiers and their military units, communications, logistics and medical support units. In March 2022, under her leadership, the winery began to supply its products to the occupied territory. The woman re-registered the company with the occupation administration and paid taxes to the aggressor state, and with the start of the so-called "passportization" she voluntarily acquired Russian citizenship.

The convict is in the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine, so the beginning of the sentence is calculated from the day of her detention. The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the SBU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Earlier it was reported that the Investigating Judge of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv Ivan Dirk considered a request for the application of a preventive measure against a 60-year-old resident of Kherson, suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
