Banners with portraits of heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine have been installed on the Memory Alley in Krynychne village, Bolhrad district, Odesa region.
This was reported by Krynychne village head Stepan Velikov.
According to him, the memorial complex now includes the names of three soldiers: The banners have become a symbol of gratitude and respect for the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland.
"This is a tribute of deep respect and gratitude to those who defended freedom and independence at the cost of their lives. We will continue to pass on the memory of the heroes from generation to generation, reminding everyone of the price of peace," said the village head.
According to local media, Ivan Minkov was born on January 25, 2002 in the village of Krynychne. During the Russian full-scale invasion, he served as a soldier - a driver of a mortar battery of a mechanized battalion of the 1st Separate Tank Brigade. On February 26, 2022, Ivan was killed during an artillery attack near Chernihiv. One of the streets in his native village was renamed in his honor.

Ivan Chumakov was born on November 25, 1977. He devoted many years to military service before the outbreak of the great war, standing up to defend Ukraine in 2014. On October 1, 2022, Ivan was killed during an artillery attack in the Kherson region. He would have turned 45 a month before his death.

Semen Demirov, a native of the village of Krynychne, was born on July 11, 1980. At the front, he served as a grenade launcher in a marine company. On August 15, 2023, near the village of Urozhayne, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, Semen died as a result of severe injuries sustained during an artillery shelling.

Meanwhile, employees of the Rodnik private enterprise began work on the construction of the Alley of Glory in honor of the fallen local defenders in Izmail, Odesa Oblast. Before that, the location of the Alley was determined by online voting. Victory Square received the most support - 40.5% of the vote. Last fall, architect Olha Pashevska developed the concept of the future memorial, and the city council ordered a preliminary design for UAH 198 thousand to the local company Geoinformservice.
