In Kherson region, law enforcement officers exposed another accomplice of the Russian invaders. The woman voluntarily headed a department of the occupation administration. She faces up to 10 years in prison.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation established that in September 2022, she voluntarily agreed to work for the occupation administration and headed the so-called "Arkhangelosloboda Territorial Department" as part of the illegal formation - "Kakhovka Municipal District".
In this position, the suspect was in charge of management, property management, staffing of the department and participated in the organization of mass events with the use of Russian symbols. In this way, she contributed to the spread of the ideas of the occupation authorities and created a positive image of them among the population.
Law enforcement officers in Kherson region served a notice of suspicion of collaboration to a 34-year-old local resident. The woman was served a notice of suspicion in absence under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - collaboration.
Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and served suspicion notices to three residents of Kherson region who cooperated with the occupiers and took administrative positions in illegal authorities.
Law enforcement also served suspicion notices to two residents of Kherson who worked for the enemy in the "police department" during the occupation of the city. These are a 37-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man. They are suspected of voluntarily taking up positions in the illegally created "Suvorov City Police" that operated under the control of the invaders.
The court also sentenced a former police major from the Kherson region who voluntarily defected to the occupiers. He was found guilty of committing serious criminal offenses, including treason and collaboration.
