Law enforcers exposed a native of Mykolaiv who voluntarily took a ministerial position in the illegal occupation administration. The court sentenced him to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.

This was reported by Vgoru with reference to the court verdict.

According to the investigation, in 2022, Denys Lucius became the acting minister of the so-called fuel and energy complex of the temporarily occupied Kherson region. The man organized the work of this illegal authority, appointed and dismissed employees, and controlled the issuance of regulations.

One of the witnesses said that he was invited to an interview at the ministry, which was conducted by Lucius personally. In October 2022, he instructed them to prepare for evacuation to the left bank of the Kherson region, to Hola Prystan.

According to the inspection report of April 12, 2023, a printout of the document and an electronic CD-R disk with files were seized. Among them are publications from the user's Facebook profile, which confirm that he lived in occupied Sevastopol and Kaluga region until February 2022.

Also, according to the inspection report of April 17, 2023, the printouts were seized, including publications from the Telegram page "Ministry of Fuel and Energy and Housing of Kherson Region".

It confirms that he holds the position of the Minister of Energy and Utilities of Kherson region and he congratulated his countrymen, colleagues and associates on Easter. His greeting expressed hope for a speedy victory of the great Russian Orthodox people over their enemies. He also quoted the words of Alexander Nevsky: "Whoever comes to us with a sword will die by the sword."

The Velyko Oleksandrivskyi District Court found Denys Lutsiy, a native of Mykolaiv, guilty of collaboration in absentia. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. The court also banned Lucius from holding positions in local government for 15 years. In addition, it was decided to recover UAH 5,974 in costs for a forensic portrait examination. The verdict was delivered in absentia, as the defendant is in the uncontrolled territory.

Denys Lutsiy, along with former Kherson City Council deputy Ihor Semenchev, were involved in a bribery and money laundering case in Russia. In November 2024, Lucius disappeared, and his whereabouts have not been established.

Recently, the Kherson City Court found Natalia Desyatova guilty of collaboration. The former singer headed the Kherson Regional Art Museum named after Shovkunenko during the Russian occupation by appointment of the occupation authorities. The verdict was passed in absentia because the woman is in the temporarily occupied territory and is avoiding justice.
