Mykolaiv plans to modernize its energy infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply to local electric transport. It is planned to raise more than UAH 67 million for this purpose.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.

It is planned to purchase a two-unit complex modular traction substation with equipment, installation, commissioning, and commissioning.

The project was initiated by the Mykolaiv City Council and executed by Mykolaivelectrotrans.

The modular traction substation will be equipped with a fire alarm system and fire extinguishing equipment inside.

The modular traction substation will also be equipped with a power tool for installation and repair work. It is also planned to equip and complete the substation with personal protective equipment and measuring devices.

The project budget is UAH 64 million 587 thousand 160.

The project is aimed at providing reliable power supply to Mykolaiv's transportation networks for the uninterrupted operation of trams and trolleybuses. Key tasks include modernizing the power supply infrastructure, implementing energy-efficient technologies, and minimizing environmental impact. The project is also focused on ensuring the safety and efficient use of electricity, reducing costs, and providing passengers with convenience, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the city.

The estimated duration of the project is 18 months. The project is currently in the process of preparation.

One and a half billion hryvnias are also planned to be used by Mykolaivoblteploenergo to ensure energy independence. The project aims to upgrade the energy infrastructure by installing cogeneration units. The project will provide heat to about 100,000 consumers, 130 social institutions, 16 medical facilities, kindergartens and schools, and municipal social centers.

In addition, Mykolaivoblteploenergo has created a project to build solar power plants for 300 million. The stations will be located in areas with high levels of solar radiation, which will maximize electricity production and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The company also planned to build a modern wind farm, for which it decided to raise more than UAH 800 million. It is planned to install six modern wind turbines. The station will be equipped with a remote control system. Electricity will be transmitted through a transformer substation and underground cables to the region's main grid.
