The wounded Mykolaiv marines undergoing treatment were visited by a chaplain.

This was reported by the press service of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky.

The chaplain of Mykolaiv marines visited wounded soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. Father Stepan talked to each of the soldiers, held a prayer, and handed over gifts and treats.

The brothers of the wounded defenders wished them a speedy recovery and return to combat.

At the end of August, two-time Olympic fencing champion Olga Harlan visited the wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the main clinical hospital. She brought her medals and told them about her victory.

In the summer, the rehabilitation department at Mykolaiv City Hospital was reopened. International partners purchased and delivered special medical equipment, and the wards were renovated. The rehabilitation unit provides medical services to soldiers wounded in the shelling, stroke victims and other groups in need of rehabilitation care.

In addition, a prosthetic and orthopedic workshop is planned to be opened at the 4th City Hospital. The city has already received the necessary equipment from its partners and plans to purchase a suitable room for its arrangement. The creation of a prosthetic center in Mykolaiv will allow residents to receive help locally, without having to travel to other regions.

Chaplaincy service in the Ukrainian army is a new phenomenon, and there are still people who call themselves chaplains but are not legally chaplains. Legally, a military chaplain is an officer of the armed forces who is subject to the laws of Ukraine and the military charter. A volunteer chaplain has nothing to do with the military chaplaincy service. Chaplain Olena Zhevets told about this on the air of Intent.Insight. She noted that volunteers can also be chaplains, but there are fraudsters.
