In Mykolaiv region, the prosecutor's office is demanding that the community return land that is part of a hydrological reserve. The land was transferred to private ownership.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office of Mykolaiv Oblast filed a lawsuit to remove obstacles to the use and disposal of this two-hectare area belonging to the Stepiv village council.

The area in question belongs to the water fund and is part of the Katerynivske Reservoir hydrological reserve. The land was illegally transferred to private ownership.

The prosecutor's office insists on canceling the order of the State Geocadastre in Mykolaiv region, terminating the registration of the land as agricultural land and returning it to the community.

The prosecutor's office is also demanding the confiscation of 15 hectares of land from Russian citizens in Mykolaiv region. They leased these plots to Ukrainian agricultural companies on a long-term basis, making profits on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, the StateGeoCadastre in Mykolaiv region did not take any measures to confiscate them.

Recently, in Kherson region, the prosecutor's office protected the lands of the Oleksandrivsk Nature Reserve Fund from illegal use. The Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office intervened in a situation related to the illegal use of protected areas in Kherson district. The disputed land plot of more than 13 hectares and worth more than UAH 100 million was transferred for use in violation of land and environmental legislation.

In addition, in Odesa region, the police brought a case of illegal seizure of a land plot in the Lower Dniester National Park to court. A 43-year-old resident of the Mayakivska community illegally occupied a land plot near the Dniester River and built a gazebo for fishing recreation.
