Mykolaivoblteploenergo has decided to obtain an electricity supply license. The decision will allow the company to diversify its revenue sources and strengthen its financial stability.
According to Mykola Logvinov, the company's director, the company plans to not only generate its own electricity but also buy it from producers for further supply to consumers. They want to expand their capabilities and increase the availability of the enterprise.
"After obtaining the license, we can officially supply electricity to budgetary institutions, legal entities and other consumers," emphasized Mr. Logvinov.
At the same time, he clarified that ordinary residents of the city do not have to sign a contract with the company for electricity supply. However, the new business line will allow Mykolaivoblteploenergo to generate additional revenue and develop its infrastructure more efficiently.
The decision to enter the electricity market is part of the company's comprehensive strategy aimed at improving energy efficiency and financial stability in a difficult economic environment.
In 2024, the specialists of Mykolaivoblteploenergo carried out large-scale preparations for the heating season: modernized boiler houses, repaired equipment and provided the city's residents with more than 100 million liters of drinking water. At the same time, Mykolaiv continues to expand its infrastructure for electric vehicles. This spring, 25 more charging stations will appear on the city streets.
The company has also planned a large-scale reconstruction of boiler houses, which will cost over UAH 200 million. Part of the funding was provided by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In addition, as part of its energy efficiency strategy, the company plans to install 34 solar power plants with a capacity of 15 kW each. They will be located at the dachas of the central heating stations, which will reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and increase the city's energy autonomy.
