Odesa Court of Appeal Judge Andriy Drishlyuk Passes Away at PhD in Law

Judge and deputy chairman of the Odesa Court of Appeal Andriy Drishlyuk has passed away.

This was reported on the court's official website.

"Andrii was a highly qualified specialist, an honest, principled and decent person. His professionalism, dedication and justice made a great contribution to the functioning and development of the Odesa Court of Appeal. The staff of the Odesa Court of Appeal expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrii Ihorovych, and we share the loss with a painful heart. The bright memory of Andriy Ihorovych will forever remain in our hearts," the statement said.

The cause of the judge's death was not specified. Andrii Drishliuk had a PhD in law and before his appointment to the Court of Appeal worked as a judge of the Malynovskyi District Court of Odesa.

Andrii Drishliuk was a guest on the IzbirKom FM podcast. Back then, he talked about international projects, judicial reform, and judges' incomes.

Recently, Natalia Buzanova, a conservatory teacher and musician, died in Odesa.

Valeriy Khait, vice president of the World Club of Odessans and one of the co-founders of the Odesa "Humorina", died on February 1.

On January 29, Tatiana Belova, a person who devoted her life to supporting national cultures and developing interethnic cooperation in the Odesa region, passed away.

On January 9, a day of mourning was declared in the Liubashiv community in Odesa region. Serhiy Burdov, the head of the village of Pokrovsk, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died of a heart attack in a military unit. The soldier was 33 years old.

Vice President and executive secretary of the Odesa Regional Chess Federation and arbiter of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Serhiy Holubev died on January 5 at the age of 73.
