The Center for Public Investigations has analyzed the annual declarations of MPs elected from Odesa region.

As stated in the article, the study covered the year 2024 and compares the data obtained with the declarations for 2022 and 2023. The CPR analysts determined which of the MPs earned the most and who was helped by relatives.

The leader in terms of personal income was Mykola Skoryk, MP from the banned OPFL party. In 2024, he declared UAH 3.2 million, the main sources of which were his MP salary, pension, compensation, and a gift of UAH 1.3 million from his mother. In 2022, Skoryk was also the first in the ranking with 2.8 million, but in 2023 his figure dropped to 1.5 million hryvnias.

The second place was taken by Oleksiy Honcharenko of the European Solidarity party, who declared 3 million hryvnias. He received more than 2 million hryvnias as a reward for the use of an audiovisual work, and another 152 thousand hryvnias was donated by his mother. In previous years, the MP was not among the top 5 in terms of income.

The third position was shared by two MPs from the Servant of the People party, Oleksandr Tkachenko and Oleh Kolev, who declared UAH 1.7 million each. Both of them have been consistently among the five richest MPs from Odesa region for several years in a row.

The top five is rounded out by Anton Kisse from the Nash Krai party, whose income amounted to UAH 1.6 million, received from his MP salary, pension and rent.

The Center also analyzed family income. Here, the first place was taken by Oleksiy Honcharenko's family with a total income of over UAH 9.5 million, of which UAH 6.5 million was his wife's business income. The family of self-nominated candidate Anatoliy Urbanskyi is in second place with UAH 6.6 million, most of which was also earned by his wife.

The third place in the family standings was taken by the family of "servant of the people" Ivan Shynkarenko with an income of UAH 3.7 million. They are followed by Mykola Skoryk's family with 3.6 million hryvnias, and Stepan Cherniavskyi's family is in fifth place (2.7 million).

At the same time, this year's CPR rating does not include the former favorites of previous years. In particular, Oleksandr Horeniuk declared only his own income of UAH 698 thousand, and his wife was no longer listed in 2024. Also, the family of Tetiana Plachkova was left out of the ranking - the former MP resigned her mandate early in 2023.

It is worth noting that the Center for Public Investigations investigated the declarations of 13 MPs out of 16 elected from Odesa region in the 2019 elections. Three of them lost their seats early: Andrii Kostin became Prosecutor General, Ihor Vasylkovskyi lost his citizenship, and Tetiana Plachkova voluntarily resigned.
