Since the beginning of 2024, more than 1,300 residents in Odesa Oblast have taken advantage of the opportunity to receive training vouchers from the State Employment Service. This allows you to get a new profession or improve your skills for free.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional State Employment Service.

Odesa region took the fifth position in terms of the number of training vouchers issued. In total, more than 22 thousand people in Ukraine received them. The leader was Dnipropetrovska oblast with 2305 vouchers, followed by Kharkiv and Lviv oblasts - 1651 and 1648 respectively. In Khmelnytsky region, 1334 residents received vouchers, and Odesa region rounds out the top five regions.

The most popular fields of study among Odesa residents are:

The maximum value of one voucher is UAH 30,000, which fully covers the cost of education at most institutions. Vouchers are available to citizens who want to change their profession, upgrade their skills or acquire a new specialty due to labor market demand.

The program proves its effectiveness by helping people get the professions they want, adapt to changes in the labor market and find work in relevant fields.

On November 26, Intent's live TV show, Intent.Insight, was dedicated to the problem of employment of veterans, which is already a pressing issue for Ukraine and will become much more acute after the end of active hostilities.

Svitlana Sandulska, a consultant on veterans' employment at the NGO Tribe, said that the state and society of Ukraine are not ready to accept veterans returning from war and looking for work.

In her opinion, society needs to be prepared to communicate with veterans, but so far this has not been done. On the other hand, according to the expert, employers have a request to hire veterans.
