Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has ordered to prepare the city's cemeteries for the memorial days in Odesa.
According to the order, the Department of Health of the Odesa City Council is to organize the duty of ambulances and teams of specialists of the municipal non-profit enterprise "City Center for Emergency Medical Care" of the Odesa City Council at city cemeteries.
The curfew will last from 24 to 5 p.m. as usual in Odesa region.
In general, on April 26, 27 and 29, ambulance crews will be on duty at cemeteries:
Send-off, Graveside, Radonitsa is a memorial period that occurs 9 days after Easter and always falls on a Tuesday. In 2025, the memorial day will be April 29. It is on this date that it is customary to go to the cemetery.
Also, watering trucks should be on duty at the cemeteries to provide water for a total of 14 vehicles, which will be provided by the municipal enterprises "City Roads" and "City Greenery". However, Miskzelentrest will allocate one car for the Novomysske cemetery, and the rest are expected from Municipal Roads.
More than one car will be on duty at Novomysske cemetery, the Second Christian cemetery with three cars, and two cars at Zakhidne cemetery.
The municipal enterprise "Specialized enterprise of communal services" will ensure the installation of additional dry closets at city cemeteries.
For most people, Tuesday is a working day. So that everyone can honor their loved ones, the church holds an additional funeral service the Sunday after Easter. So the 2025 Send-off will take place from April 27 to 29.
