On May 6, Lidiya Stratulat, the oldest woman in the city of Podilsk, Odesa region, passed away.
This was reported by her relatives on social media.
Back on May 1, Lidia Stratulat celebrated her 106th birthday with her family, who remember her life wisdom with deep gratitude.
"On 06.05.2025, the heart of our mommy, grandmother, great-grandmother, the oldest woman in Podilsk, Stratulat Lidiya Franzivna, stopped beating. On May 1, 2025, she celebrated her 106th birthday. We will always remember her most charming image, her advice and guidance in our hearts. May you rest in peace, our dear!!!" the message reads.
The funeral service for Lidia Stratulat will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 11:00 a.m. at 30 Hetmanska Street, Podilsk.
Lidia Stratulat is a war veteran, a participant of the labor front, who had to go through a lot in her long life. She was a good example for her children and grandchildren.
It should be noted that Lidia Stratulat is the oldest woman in Odesa region, according to open sources.
It is worth adding that Maria Branias Morera from Spain is officially considered the oldest woman in the world - she is 117 years old.
Earlier, Intent wrote that Borys Perezhniak, a lecturer at the National University "Odesa Law Academy" and dean of several faculties in different years, died at the age of 74.
Also, professor, teacher, art critic and author of acting textbooks Albina Ovchynnikova died on March 30 after a long illness. She taught at the South Ukrainian Pedagogical University in 1988-2002; she was the head of the Department of Art History at Odesa University in 2002-2004, and since 2004 she has been a professor at the Department of State and Law Theory and the Department of Journalism at the National University "Odesa Law Academy".
