Real Handball Club Faces Defeat Against Spartak Kyiv in Super League

Mykolaiv-based Real suffered two defeats against Kyiv-based Spartak in the eighth round of the Women's Super League in handball. Despite a strong performance, Real failed to win, losing to their opponents.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

The eighth round of the Ukrainian Women's Super League Handball Championship has ended in Mykolaiv. On March 14-15, Real handball club hosted Spartak Kyiv at its home ground. Four exciting matches took place during two game days, which became a real holiday for the fans and demonstrated the high sportsmanship of the teams.

Mykolaiv-based Real GC met with Spartak GC twice. In the first match, the result was in favor of the guests: Real lost with a score of 24:31 (11:17, 13:14). Anastasia Perekhodova (6 goals), Anastasia Ginkul (5) and Valeria Savina (5) scored the most goals for Mykolaiv.

The second match also ended in defeat for Real Madrid: 19:23 (12:10, 7:13). Anastasia Ginkul scored the most goals (9), while Victoria Serman (3), Anastasia Kozlova (2) and other players also scored.

Both matches were a real challenge for the Mykolaiv club, but they demonstrated their desire and commitment to the game.

Recently, Mykolaiv athletes showed good results at the Ukrainian Diving Cup, winning several medals. Roman Galikberov won three awards, including silver in platform diving and synchronized diving, and Maksym Mirza won gold in 3-meter springboard diving.

In February, Mykolaiv basketball club NIKO-Basket won a convincing victory over Vinnytsia in a home game of the Major League, securing third place in the standings with a score of 84:57.

In 2024, Mykolaiv athletes won 909 medals, including 242 gold medals, and participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In 2025, further development of the sports infrastructure, support for young athletes and an increase in the number of international competitions in the region are envisaged.
