Russians appoint pensioner as director of ports in Kherson region controlled by Ukraine

The Kherson ports have been under Ukrainian control for more than two years, but Russia has chosen a new manager for them.

According to IPC-Pivden, the occupiers announced Vyacheslav Stanotin as the "director" of the Kherson Sea and River Ports, although these facilities are located on the right bank of the Kherson region, which is controlled by Ukrainian forces.

Stanotin, a 61-year-old pensioner, ran the Samara River Port in Russia in the 2000s, where he was involved in scandals involving the transfer of sand-loading sites to private entities close to him. The initiated audits were unsuccessful, after which he worked in the structures of the Russian Ministry of the Interior, holding positions related to anti-corruption activities. In 2015, he retired and disappeared from public life.

Despite his dubious reputation, Stanotin was appointed the "head" of the Kherson seaport, and later announced a "reorganization" with the river port joining the seaport. This decision was made by the illegal "Ministry of Transport of the Kherson Region" despite the statements of the governor, Volodymyr Saldo, that the river port could not operate because it was located on the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Meanwhile, pro-Russian politician Oleksiy Malyonkin is accused of legalizing the occupation regime in Kherson region.

Recently, the SBU served a notice of suspicion to Oleksandra Pshenychna, who used to be the village elder of Zaozerne, and after the occupation, she collaborated with the enemy and ran an illegal administration.

And Anatoliy Negra, the former longtime head of Hola Prystan in Kherson Oblast, works as a driving instructor at an illegal school set up by the occupiers. He teaches practical driving at the Skadovsk branch of an illegally established driving school registered in Armyansk, Crimea.
