In early 2025, the Kherson police spent tens of millions of hryvnias from the state budget on energy, drones, equipment, fuel, car repairs, insurance, office materials, and even bulletproof vests for police dogs. The most expensive service was the retrofitting of vehicles with armor protection.
Intent, using the Zakupivli.pro platform, decided to find out what the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson Oblast has spent budget funds on since the beginning of 2025 and where the taxpayers' money has gone.
In 2025, the National Police of Kherson region spent more than 32 million hryvnias on procurement. The most expensive item was the protection of a truck, which cost UAH 6.3 million.
Another of the largest expenses was the supply of heat energy, for which UAH 1.1 million was planned. More than UAH 3.7 million was allocated for the distribution and supply of electricity. Expenses for centralized water supply and sewage disposal amounted to over UAH 120 thousand.
Another significant item of expenditure was vehicle repair services. As part of these procurements, over UAH 4 million was allocated for various repairs and spare parts for the vehicle fleet. In particular, the company planned to spend 80 thousand hryvnias on engine oil, 98 thousand hryvnias on diesel engine cleaning fluid, 73 thousand hryvnias on car tools, and over 1.5 million hryvnias on tires. Spare parts for vehicles cost over UAH 2.7 million.
In addition, a significant part of the budget was spent on purchases of technical equipment, including quadcopters. It was planned to spend UAH 840 thousand on a DJI Mavic quadcopter and over a million hryvnias on an Autel EVO Max 4T quadcopter.
Additional components were also purchased for the drones: DJI Intelligent Flight Battery for Mavic 3 batteries for over 250 thousand hryvnias, propellers for DJI Mavic 3 E for 34.5 thousand hryvnias, and a repeater for FPV drone control that cost almost 66 thousand hryvnias.
Other significant expenditures include a 3D printer for 74 thousand hryvnias, a Samsung Galaxy tablet for almost 60 thousand hryvnias, and an HPRT HM-E200 receipt printer for 83 thousand hryvnias. The technical equipment of the police also includes the purchase of thermal imagers and night vision devices for a total of over UAH 600,000, and the connection of CCTV cameras cost UAH 33,000.
Additionally, the police spent over UAH 2 million on insurance, UAH 99 thousand on courier services, and over UAH 1.5 million on paper for official use, which made up a significant portion of the cost of office equipment. Gasoline and fuel also became a major expense item: about UAH 1.5 million was spent on these needs.
We did not forget about equipment for service dogs: more than UAH 370 thousand was allocated for food, and UAH 65 thousand for bulletproof vests for dogs.
One of the largest purchases this year was a service for booking a cargo and passenger vehicle. A record 6.3 million hryvnias were planned to be spent on this.
In total, about UAH 33 million was spent on the largest procurements for the Kherson regional police alone, including car reservations, electricity, vehicle repairs, and drones.
