The State Service of Geology and Subsoil has prepared a list of mineral deposits that are of strategic importance for the development of the economy and defense capabilities of the state and whose use permits will be granted through auctions for the Cabinet of Ministers' approval.

The document was developed in pursuance of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of July 2021, Slovo i Dilo reports.

The idea is to create transparent mechanisms for obtaining special permits and increase the investment attractiveness of the subsoil use sector.

It is proposed to use subsoil for the extraction of aluminum, apatite, barite, beryllium, graphite, gold, niobium, tin, ores (iron, cobalt, lithium, manganese, copper, nickel), potassium salts, tantalum, titanium, and zirconium through auctions.

In particular, we are talking about the Kvitkivska and Mayska areas in Odesa region with gold ore deposits in Odesa region. The Kvitkivska area covers 668.6 hectares and has 25 wells, which can produce 0.1-14.7 grams of gold per ton of ore. The Mayskaya area covers 252 hectares and has 177 wells with an average yield of 3.4 grams of precious metal per ton.

The State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine planned to auction these areas at the end of 2020.

Mykolaiv Oblast plans to sell the Novovysununska area, which contains titanium ores.

Meanwhile, Ukrtelecom has again announced an auction for the sale of the right to long-term lease of the Yunyi Zviyovets children's recreation center. The new auction is scheduled for October 4. The facility covers 3,370.9 square meters. The property is located on the outskirts of the city near the Black Sea. The complex consists of an administrative building, two dormitories, a dining room, two staff houses, a shower room, a restroom, a diesel room, a vegetable storehouse, an electrical switchboard, a kiosk and a checkpoint. The complex can accommodate up to 200 people at a time.
