A project to overhaul the water supply network has been launched in the village of Tavriyske, Kherson district. More than 26 million hryvnias are planned to be raised to eliminate the emergency.

This is evidenced by data from the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem.

The goal of the project is to provide stable water supply for more than 560 villagers, reduce water losses, and improve system efficiency.

According to the project description, it is planned to overhaul the 7.9-kilometer-long network with the replacement of pipes, the construction of new wells, the installation of hydrants, and the connection of subscribers. A special feature is the use of energy-efficient equipment and modern remote control solutions. The project was initiated by the Bilozerska Village Council, and it is also in line with the Kherson Oblast Development Strategy for 2024-2027.

According to the project description, water is supplied from artesian wells, but there are problems with the water supply system: worn-out pipes, damaged wells and pumps, water leaks, and insufficient pressure in the network.

According to the project initiators, pipeline sections up to 5 kilometers long have been particularly affected and need to be replaced with modern polyethylene pipes. They also plan to repair 10 wells and install 5 new ones to maintain the network. In addition, 20 valves are to be installed to better control the network and the pumping equipment will be replaced with more energy-efficient equipment. In addition, the pumping station and electrical switchboard equipment will be upgraded.

The estimated duration of the project is about 10 months.

The total project budget is UAH 26.9 million. So far, 258.4 thousand hryvnias have been allocated from the local budget for design, so the project needs additional funding.

The project is included in the Unified Project Portfolio and has environmental certification. It is expected that after implementation, the village will receive a reliable water supply system that meets modern standards.

The Kherson Oblast has also launched a project to create a warning system that will allow residents of the Beryslav community to quickly inform about potential threats and emergencies. It is planned to raise more than UAH 5 million for this purpose.

Kherson has recently started overhauling an apartment building damaged by the hostilities. More than 400 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the local budget, and another 7 million are needed.
