The Ukrainian long-range drone missile "Palianytsia" was used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces for the first time against a military target on the territory of the Crimean peninsula temporarily occupied by Russia last month.

This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, citing personal sources.

"On Independence Day, President Zelensky announced to the whole world that Ukraine had used its drone missile called Palianytsia for the first time. Everyone was very interested in what was hit by this drone.

We can say that the drone was used during one of the attacks on the Crimean peninsula in August this year. Unfortunately, we cannot say which object this drone was used against, but we know that it was a complex operation and that the target was successfully hit by the Palianytsia," the Ukrainian Pravda project "Oboroncast" said.

It is noted that in the section "I'm Impressed," where hosts Roman Romaniuk and Bohdan Miroshnychenko recall the most high-profile cases of enemy targets being hit by Ukrainian weapons, this time it was about Russian oil depots hit by drones, a ferry in the port of Kavkaz destroyed by Neptune missiles, and the first time the Ukrainian Palyanytsia was used.

The article also notes that the development of the Ukrainian long-range drone missile "Palianytsia" was completed in 1.5 years. Several dozen Russian military airfields are within its range.

Earlier it was reported that on the night of August 30, three explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea near the Kirovske airfield, one explosion was heard above the Kirovske railway station, and another explosion was heard near Dzhankoy. Later, citing eyewitnesses, the channel reported that at night, the Russian military allegedly shot down five UAVs in the Kirovske and Dzhankoi areas. In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry said that two drones had been destroyed over Crimea at night. The Ukrainian side did not comment on the situation, and the statements of the Russian authorities need to be independently confirmed.
