The expert commission of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory found that geographical objects, names of legal entities and property rights, monuments and memorials dedicated to the Soviet and Russian satirist Mikhail Zhvanetsky belong to the symbols of Russian imperial policy.

Accenture Intent has looked into this issue.

According to the experts, Zhvanetsky 's creative activity is not related to the development of Ukrainian culture, but at the same time it fully meets the definition of Russification. The same goes for the writer's position on the annexation of Crimea. At first, he allegedly supported Ukrainians, but later he made ambiguous statements on this issue. He also participated in propaganda projects of the aggressor state, including visits to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
