Voznesensk Community Rallies for Ukrainian POWs and Missing Persons

On March 1, the Voznesensk community held a rally and a peaceful reminder event dedicated to Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing persons. The event was organized by theGive Warmth to the South charitable foundation and theWaiting NGO with the support of the Voznesensk City Council.

This was reported by the press service of the Voznesensk City Council.

This action is the voice of families waiting for their loved ones, a voice of support for those in captivity, and gratitude to those who defend Ukraine.

A convoy of cars with blue and yellow flags and posters with portraits of prisoners of war and missing persons drove through the city. The route ran from the Nova Poshta #1 post office to the city council building. The final point of the event was a minute of silence in memory of the fallen soldiers and innocent victims of the Russian war.

About 400 people took part in the rally and the action, including relatives of missing persons and prisoners of war, military personnel, representatives of local authorities and concerned community members.

Among the government officials at the event were Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Myzgalo and Deputy Head of the Department of the SPS Halyna Rozhko.

Larysa Torzhynska, Head of the Department for Veterans and Their Families of the Voznesensk City Council, addressed the participants. She emphasized that Voznesensk has a special department that supports the families of prisoners of war, deceased and active military personnel.

The department employs four specialists who help with social and legal issues. Residents of the community can seek help at the following address: 14 Sobornosti Street, Voznesensk (formerly the ASC).

The head of the NGO"Waiting " urged not to give up, to continue the fight for the return of relatives and to believe in their return. Everyone had the opportunity to share their stories and words of support in an open mic format.

In conclusion,Valentyn Vasyliev, pastor and chaplain ofSalvation Church, called on the community to unite, pray and fight for the truth.
