A woman who was injured in an attack by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on May 16 died in hospital.
This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"A 55-year-old woman who was seriously injured in an enemy attack died in hospital," the prosecutor's office said.
This refers to the attack on the night of May 16, when Russian troops attacked Odesa region with attack drones. Civilian objects in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and Odesa districts came under fire.
Three people, two men and a woman, were injured in the attack. They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, fractures, thermal burns and mine-blast injuries. All of them were at home when they became victims of the shelling.
In addition to the injuries, residential buildings, outbuildings and cars were damaged. Law enforcement officers are recording all the consequences of the attack. The house of the director of Odesa Zoo , Ihor Bilyakov, was destroyed as a result of the attack by an enemy drone. The director himself was not injured, but his cell phone was completely burned.
During the night, three air raids were recorded in Odesa region. The first one was announced at 02:15, after which the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of attack drones moving from the Black Sea towards Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The alert was called off at 02:43. The second air alert was announced at 03:28 and lasted until 05:01. In the morning, sirens were sounded at 07:04 due to the threat of ballistic missiles. The alert was called off at 07:41.
On May 15, the executive committee announced the dismantling of four buildings in Odesa that had been completely destroyed by Russian shelling. The deputies decided that the dismantling would be carried out on Skisna, Agronomichna, Zadniprovsky and Mykola Borovskoho streets.
