A new deputy, Yuriy Mavrodiyev from the Nash Krai party, has been elected to the Mykolaiv Regional Council to replace the one who resigned.

This became known during an extraordinary session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council on February 25.

Thus, the Mykolaiv Regional Territorial Election Commission decided to register the next in line deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the eighth convocation.

According to Article 206, paragraph 2, and Article 283, paragraph 3, of the Electoral Code of Ukraine, on February 24, 2025, the commission adopted Resolution No. 36 on the registration of Yuriy Mavrodiyev, who ran as a candidate of the Nash Krai political party.

The decision was adopted unanimously by the deputies - 39 "For".

Earlier, Svitlana Fedorova , a deputy from the banned Nash Krai party, and Vladyslav Nevesely, a deputy from the Servant of the People party, resigned from their positions ahead of schedule.

Svitlana Fedorova explained her withdrawal from the council by saying that it was unacceptable for her to work with the current leadership, which, according to her, demonstrates complete inaction, corruption and evasion of mobilization.

"This means closing dozens of hospitals, closing educational institutions, regional boarding schools, orphanages and schools. Dismissal of staff, election of managers without competitions," the MP said before the session.

Vladyslav Neveselyi, in turn, did not explain his decision to resign. Before that, the deputies approved new directions for the development of Mykolaiv region.

At the last session, the deputies supported the appointment of two deputy chairmen of the regional council, Anton Tabunschyk. Ihor Shcherbyna and Denys Andriyev were elected as deputies. In addition, Khrystyna Malysh and Olha Ostapchuk, who previously represented the banned Nash Krai party, joined the deputy corps. They replaced Yuriy Kormyshkin and Oleh Malyarenko, who resigned their seats.
