400 million allocated from the state budget to repair Kherson region's highway

A tender has been announced in Kherson region for the repair of a highway worth more than UAH 400 million. The work should be completed by the end of 2026 at the expense of the state budget.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro procurement system.

The Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Kherson region has announced an open tender for the current repair of the national highway T-22-07 /T-04-03/ - Vysokopillia - Velyka Oleksandrivka - Beryslav. The expected cost of the works is UAH 432.3 million, which is to be financed from the state budget.

The tender was announced on May 16. Participants have until May 26 to submit their bids, and the auction is scheduled for the same day. The minimum price reduction step is 2.16 million hryvnias, or 0.5% of the total purchase amount.

The customer is the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service, which operates under the state program to rebuild regions affected by the war.

According to the tender documentation, the road repair should be completed by December 31, 2026. No bid security is provided, but bidders will have to provide a bank guarantee to fulfill the terms of the future contract. The terms also provide for the possibility of prepayment of up to 30% of the cost of the works.

The tenderer must submit a certificate containing a list of equipment required to provide services under the subject of procurement. In particular, recyclers, road rollers, asphalt pavers, motor graders, dump trucks and other equipment to be used in the performance of the works must be specified.

In March, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service of Kherson Oblast announced four tenders for the overhaul of the road network in the village of Posad Pokrovske, which was severely damaged by Russian shelling. More than UAH 580 million was allocated for the work. In April, tenders for road repairs were completed, and three companies were awarded contracts worth more than UAH 500 million. These companies have previously been involved in journalistic investigations and criminal proceedings.
