Mykolaiv has announced a tender for meals in the city's kindergartens for more than UAH 70 million. The services are to be provided until the end of 2025.

This is evidenced by the data of the Prozorro procurement system.

The Department of Education of Mykolaiv City Council has announced an open tender for catering services in the city's preschool education institutions. The expected value of the purchase is UAH 71.8 million including VAT.

According to the announcement, the tender is being held under the code "canteen services". Proposals from potential participants are accepted until May 18, and the auction is scheduled for May 19. The minimum price reduction step is over UAH 359 thousand. Bidders are not required to provide a bid security.

The customer of the services is the Education Department of Mykolaiv City Council. The services include the organization of meals in kindergartens in Mykolaiv. The winner of the tender must provide supplies in accordance with the terms and conditions from June 15 to December 31, 2025. Payment is to be made in full upon delivery of services within 15 banking days. The contract amount may be reduced by mutual agreement of the parties.

In addition to kindergartens, the service shall also be provided to Mykolaiv Specialized School for Children with Visual Impairments.

The supplier shall provide children with a balanced diet in accordance with the approved menu and standards established by the government. Meals shall be provided only on weekdays, and the meal schedule shall be determined by the head of the institution. The company must prepare and deliver meals according to the age of the children and, if necessary, organize dietary or medical meals.

In March, the Government allocated more than UAH 6.5 million to improve hot meals for primary school students in Mykolaiv region. The money will be used to upgrade school kitchens, purchase quality products and introduce modern nutrition standards. The funds were provided by the UN World Food Program and are to be distributed among 26 communities in the region.

Also in Mykolaiv, primary school students will continue to receive free lunches until the end of the school year, and free meals are being considered for high school students at the expense of the state budget.
