Mykolaiv's municipal utilities are planning to buy equipment from a company that is linked to business in Russia. Its owner, a deputy of the Poltava regional council, has only increased the number of government contracts in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro procurement system.
In early May, the Mykolaiv Parks utility company announced a tender for the purchase of dump trucks and road vehicles. The company was ready to spend more than UAH 21 million from the city budget. The selected winner is to deliver 4 dump trucks and 2 road machines with replaceable equipment based on a dump truck by August 2025.
The bidding was supposed to take place on May 19, but only one participant confirmed its participation - PE "Production and Commercial Enterprise "Alfatex", with an offer 15 thousand less than the expected purchase.

According to the YouControl analytical system, the company was registered in 1999 with a registered capital of UAH 10 thousand in Poltava region. The main KVED is the production of motor vehicles.
The company is owned by Mykola Koretskyi, a member of the Poltava Regional Council. The company won public procurement contracts totaling UAH 1.9 billion. Customers of the company's services included utility companies, city and village councils, departments and others. The company has been participating in public procurement since 2016.

As the media reported in January last year, the owner of one of the largest Ukrainian enterprises producing municipal special equipment, Koretskyi, has not yet given up business in Russia, in particular, he continues to provide services to the Russian military.
The journalists noted that the presence of Russian business did not prevent the entrepreneur from working successfully in Ukraine: after the outbreak of war, the MP's company increased the number of contracts for the supply of special equipment. When asked about his Russian business, the MP claimed that he was a victim of circumstances.
Also in Mykolaiv region, a contractor for the maintenance of state roads has been selected - a monopoly company can receive more than a billion hryvnias without any competition. Earlier, the prosecutor's office accused this company of improper performance of work.
