The implementation of the DocPort truck traffic management module, announced in March, began at the end of April.
According to the port's press service, DocPort's main goal is to reduce queues at the port entrance, minimize truck downtime, stabilize traffic flow and make cargo handling more efficient.
The system allows you to issue passes for drivers in advance and transfer them in a convenient format - directly to the messenger. To do this, you need any device (phone, tablet, laptop) with Internet access. This way, you can store data on cargo and fleet, prepare documents for entry, control the queue, and quickly respond to emergencies such as vehicle breakdowns. At the same time, the DocPort system minimizes the use of paper and reduces the amount of bureaucratic procedures during entry checks.
DocPort operates through a "metered entry" mechanism: drivers wait at special sites where they can activate their passes. Thanks to this, only those vehicles that are actually ready to enter the territory receive an active pass to the port. All information is stored in a single database, so the driver and vehicle need to be registered only once - this data will be available in all ports that are connected to the system.
The system was fully developed by specialists of the state enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and is free for all market participants and open to other companies involved in cargo handling.
In March 2025, Vyacheslav Kharkavenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority", announced the launch of the traffic management module of the DocPort logistics port system in a test mode at the Odesa seaport. The module is already in operation in the Danube ports and the port of Chornomorsk.
