A session of the city council has been scheduled in Mykolaiv. The agenda includes budget, land, communal property and personnel issues. Among other things, the deputies will decide on the fate of the Kazka cultural complex, the installation of solar power plants and the update of the city development program.
The relevant order was signed by Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.
The mayor of Mykolaiv has signed a decree to convene the regular forty-fourth session of the Mykolaiv City Council of the VIII convocation. The session is scheduled for May 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in a remote format. Traditionally, Intent will conduct an online broadcast.
As stated in the resolution, the plenary session will be broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the city council and on its website. During the session, deputies will consider budgetary, land, and current issues.
In particular, the draft decisions include amendments to the Program of Economic and Social Development of the city for 2024-2026.
The city council will also have to decide whether to write off some of the outdated fixed assets and whether to accept a grant from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) to install three solar power plants in Mykolaiv.
The agenda also includes delegation of authority to the mayor to extend contracts with school principals, changes to the charter of the Soliani housing and maintenance enterprise, and reorganization of the Kazka cultural complex, which is to be merged with the city's Palace of Culture.
The deputies will also consider two issues related to the reorganization of municipal non-profit enterprises and another motion to write off property.
At the last meeting, the agenda again included a block of land issues that had previously been removed at the request of deputy Olena Kiselyova. In response, MP Maksym Kovalenko reminded that according to the rules of procedure, projects that have already been put to a vote and not received support cannot be reconsidered.
They also decided to allocate UAH 50 million to pay off the debts of the city's water utility, increasing the total amount of city budget expenditures to more than UAH 6.1 billion. The deputies supported the redistribution of funds between city programs and the financing of the utility's liabilities.
