Mykolaiv City Council to Discuss 69 Agenda Items, Including Housing for Military and IDPs on March 13, 2025

A meeting of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council will be held on March 13, 2025 at 10:00 am. It is planned to consider issues related to international assistance, housing for the military and IDPs, guardianship, etc.
This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.
The executive committee is to consider 69 issues on the agenda, 4 blocks of which relate to guardianship issues.
Among other draft decisions, members of the executive committee should amend the staffing table of the municipal institution "Mykolaiv Energy Efficiency Center" and the procedure for creating and using a material reserve for the prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergencies.
Also, to take coordination measures to receive international technical assistance within the framework of the international technical assistance project "Mykolaiv Restored" and from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
In addition, to approve a decision to issue special orders for service housing for military personnel of the Mykolaiv garrison and to extend the term for providing housing for temporary residence of IDPs.
Earlier, Mykolaiv adopted amendmentsto the Social Protection program for 2024-2026, which provide support for citizens affected by the war, the Chernobyl disaster, and people with disabilities. The city has allocated more than UAH 1.5 billion to implement these measures.
In addition, the City Council has approved a participatory budgeting program that will allow residents to directly influence the allocation of part of the city's funds. Over UAH 45 million has been allocated for this initiative.
The local authorities have also decided to strengthen security measures in educational institutions due to numerous reports of mining of schools and kindergartens. Police officers will be deployed to promptly inspect the premises and quickly resume the educational process if there is no threat.
