A deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council resigned his seat early. The decision was supported without discussion.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
Volodymyr Vysotskyi, a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the 8th convocation representing the Servant of the People political party, decided to resign his deputy powers early.
This decision was made at an offline meeting of the regional council session held on May 1 in Pervomaisk. The session participants unanimously supported the termination of his mandate without discussion.
According to the Chesno movement, Volodymyr Vysotskyi was elected as a deputy in 2020 on the list of the Servant of the People political party in constituency #2. This was his second attempt to get into the regional council.
In 2015, he ran for the Mykolaiv Regional Council from the Nash Krai party in constituency 6, but was not elected. In 2020, he became a deputy elected on the party list. According to information, Volodymyr Vysotskyi does not have a higher education. He is the director of Rostgrankarier 2 and has no criminal record.
The decision to early terminate Volodymyr Vysotskyi's deputy powers took place against the backdrop of changes in the composition of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
This is not the first time that deputies have voluntarily resigned their seats. At previous sessions of the regional council, it was also decided to terminate the powers of Svitlana Fedorova, a deputy from the banned Nash Krai party, and Vladyslav Nevesely, a deputy from the Servant of the People party. This decision was made at the twenty-seventh extraordinary session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.
Recently, the city council's standing committee recommended that former Mykolaiv regional council deputy Yuriy Kormyshkin be removed from the city council's executive committee, although this issue has not yet been supported at the city council session.
At the end of January, the court imposed a bail of UAH 15 million on the former deputy. According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, he is suspected of attempting to legalize property belonging to his wife.
