The thirteenth and last three-section car K1T306, purchased from Tatra-Yug with funds from the European Investment Bank, was delivered to Odesa Tram Depot in Slobidka. However, it will not be used on city routes yet.

According to Odesa Mass Transit, only two of these cars (No. 7013 and No. 7014) are currently operating in the city, alternating on route No. 17. The rest of the vehicles, although tested, remain in reserve. According to preliminary information, the rest of the new trams will start running after the resumption of route No. 7 along the full route.

The K1T306 trams are modern three-section low-floor cars with a length of 26 meters and a capacity of up to 300 passengers. They are manufactured at the Pivdenmash plant in Dnipro and are already in operation in 22 cities of Ukraine.

Earlier, Odesmiskelectrotrans announced a tender for almost UAH 3 million. These funds will be used to purchase three sets of lining for the exterior and interior of the tram interior and cab, which will be installed during the overhaul and modernization of Tatra cars.

Meanwhile, Odesa plans to allocate more than UAH 500 million from the city budget to maintain the Odesmiskelektrotrans utility in 2025. The decision was discussed at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Planning, Budget and Finance of the Odesa City Council.

According to members of the commission, the bulk of the funds will be used to pay salaries to the company's employees, as well as to pay for the electricity needed to operate electric vehicles. At the same time, some deputies expressed concern that such expenditures are only current and do not contribute to the development of urban infrastructure.
