Russian army attacks 33 settlements in Kherson region and wounds six people

Kherson region was subjected to massive shelling from drones, artillery and aircraft - Kherson, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Tyahynka and other settlements were hit. Homes and cars were damaged, and six civilians were injured.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
From six in the morning on May 7 to six in the morning on May 8, Kherson region again experienced another day of shelling. Russian troops covered the region with kamikaze drones, artillery and air strikes. Residential neighborhoods of Kherson, as well as a number of villages and towns, including Mykhailivka, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Osokorivka, Antonivka, Vesele, Bilozerka, and Beryslav, were hit.
The occupants were targeting civilians: at least three multi-storey buildings and six private houses were destroyed, and civilian cars were damaged.
Six people were injured as a result of the attacks.
On May 6-7, 35 settlements in Kherson region came under enemy fire. Nine private houses and a multi-storey building were damaged, and a cell tower, a gas pipeline, a warehouse, and a car were destroyed. The attacks killed two civilians and injured six others.
From 5 to 6, the occupants shelled the Kherson district with ballistic missiles, damaging two high-rise buildings, four private houses, a cell tower, an outbuilding and several cars. The day before, two more apartment buildings, nine private houses, a gas pipeline, garages, outbuildings and vehicles were destroyed.
The shelling also targeted social and critical infrastructure, injuring at least nine people. Kherson, Beryslav and Bilozerka directions remain the most dangerous as Russian troops continue to target border communities.
Recently, 205 defenders returned to Ukraine from captivity. The liberated soldiers defended the country in different directions: Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv, as well as in Kherson, Sumy and Kyiv regions. Among them are defenders from the Mariupol garrison. This was the fifth exchange this year and the 64th since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Since March 2022, Ukraine has released 4,757 of its citizens through negotiations and exchanges.
