Ukrainian troops shoot down second Russian plane over Crimea

Ukrainian troops destroyed the second Russian aircraft in a day, as well as military depots in Crimea. In the Black Sea, a Russian Su-30 was destroyed by a maritime drone, the first such case in the world.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, this is the second Russian combat aircraft destroyed in a day. In his evening address, he emphasized that Ukrainian troops had successfully conducted an operation in Crimea, which resulted in the destruction of another aircraft and military depots.
Zelenskyy also noted that intense fighting continues on the Pokrovske and other frontlines in Donetsk region, and that Ukraine's defense forces are actively operating in Kursk and Belgorod regions. The President thanked Ukrainian specialists for increasing long-range capabilities, both in the sky and at sea.
On the afternoon of May 3, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the destruction of a Russian Su-30 aircraft in the Black Sea using a maritime drone. The strike, carried out by the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence's Group 13 special forces using a missile from the Magura unmanned platform, was the first time a combat aircraft was destroyed by a maritime drone in the world.
At the end of March, Ukrainian Prymary drones destroyed Russian radar stations and military equipment in Crimea, causing the enemy multimillion-dollar losses. The destroyed equipment included modern radar stations that were critical to Russian air and coastal defense.
Recently, drones of the Prymary special forces unit also destroyed enemy Raptor and BK-16 boats. In addition, Ukrainian intelligence officers eliminated the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system, which is an important part of Russian air defense in the occupied Crimea. In early March, the Atesh resistance movement sabotaged a railway in occupied Crimea, destroying a train that was supposed to deliver ammunition near Sevastopol on the night of March 9.
